Littlestone, Kent. Town Centre Masterplan.

Folkestone & Hyde, Kent, UK

What did we do?

Re-imagining a seaside town!

Large masterplan future proofing an emerging coastal location.

Brass Architecture began works with a new JV developer group in 2020, investigating the development potential of a neighbouring site location to the recently upgraded ('big brother') port town of Folkestone, Kent.

Our initial works include the redevelopment potential of the 'town centre' including major anchor development, upgrade of existing rail interchange + associative housing addition potential to the 'central core' of Littlestone.

Further works include a wetland hospitality destination, eco-housing and leisure driven sites.

The overall intent, being to add to housing stock, reinvent the location as a tourism and leisure destination and attract new business interest.

Our initial designs were well received by the LPA and we look forward to progressing the outline works (design development) in the near future.

One of Europe's Largest Masterplans !

Bratislava, Slovakia, EU

Imagining a new district to a major European City.

How does one design a new super town to achieve all stakeholder goals?

Our project brief, to create a new 'town' district for the city where vehicles are subordinate, streets are treated as horizontal pieces of architecture and any secondary (and remaining tertiary) ‘pocket’ areas to be utilised for various public uses; such as markets, meetings, sport and play.

We are proud to be involved in the development of one of Europe's largest masterplans - showcasing micro and macro design flair. Our Slovakia Church project (showcased independently) sits within the districts central development zone.
